Ahead of The Odyssey’s theatrical debut this Friday, ELLE welcomed friends of the magazine to an intimate private screening of Christopher Nolan’s epic at AMC Lincoln Square in New York City. The evening celebrated one of the summer’s most anticipated releases while bringing together designers, creatives, and industry insiders—including Tory Burch, Fernando Garcia, Noah Schnapp, Paul Anthony Kelly, and more—for an early look at the film. The event also marked the latest collaboration between ELLE and Universal Pictures following our Summer 2026 issue, which spotlighted The Odyssey’s leading women—Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o, and Charlize Theron—across four collectible covers, with exclusive interviews exploring their roles in Nolan’s ambitious adaptation of Homer’s epic.
Before the lights dimmed, ELLE editor-in-chief Nina Garcia welcomed the crowd and thanked those who helped bring the screening together. “It’s so wonderful to see so many friends of ELLE,” she said. “Thank you for coming to our special screening of the most anticipated film of the summer, The Odyssey.” Woman in black attire poses in front of magazine covers featuring models at an event celebrating a fashion issue. Garcia continued, “The first person I would like to thank is the brilliant Christopher Nolan, who worked hand in hand with us to make this evening possible and who insisted we show the movie in this particular theater so that you would have the experience exactly as he intended. I am also deeply grateful to Universal for partnering with us on the Summer Issue, which is every bit as epic as the film itself.”
As guests settled into the theater—with popcorn, candy, and plenty of anticipation—they were surrounded by displays of ELLE’s four Odyssey covers, a fitting reminder of the magazine’s ongoing celebration of the film and the women at its center.
